Solving the Grad–Shafranov equation using spectral elements for tokamak equilibrium with toroidal rotation

چکیده

The Grad–Shafranov equation is solved using spectral elements for tokamak equilibrium with toroidal rotation. solver builds upon and extends the NIMEQ code (Howell Sovinec, 2014) previously developed static equilibria. Both geometric algebraic convergence are achieved as polynomial degree of spectral-element basis increases. A new analytical solution to obtained Solov’ev in presence rigid rotation, addition a different set rotation profiles. numerical solutions from extended benchmarked solutions, good agreements. Besides, FLOW (Guazzotto et al., 2004). modification pressure profile induced by flow investigated. relative change found significant around edge.
